The call has gone out to local groups and individuals to get involved with the Clarke Foley Danceathon, set to take place from 2pm 26th October until 2pm 27th October 2024.
This vibrant 24 hour event will bring together community dance groups, enthusiasts, and supporters for a day filled with dance, music, and fun—all in support of raising essential funds for the Centre.
The Danceathon will feature a diverse lineup of local dance groups, each leading energetic sessions in various dance styles. From salsa to swing, ballet to breakdancing, there will be something for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned dancer or just looking to enjoy a lively day out.
“We’re excited to host this Danceathon as a way to engage the community in a fun and active way while raising funds for the Clarke Foley Community Hub,”
said Anna Clewlow, Marketing Manager at the Clarke Foley.
“Our goal is to bring people together through dance and to raise funds to continue providing valuable services to the community. We are looking to connect with as many local dance groups as possible to help us make the event as successful as possible’.
The Clarke Foley Danceathon is open to all ages and abilities, and participants are encouraged to come dressed for movement and ready to dance. In addition to the dance sessions, there will be refreshments, raffles, and plenty of opportunities to support the Centre’s fundraising efforts.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Clarke Foley Community Hub, helping to fund the wide range of activities and services offered to people of all ages in the community.
