As the Ticket Office approaches its 8th birthday, the popular Ilkley bar is getting ready to change tracks and welcome new leadership on board.
After three dedicated years as General Manager, Chris Ribsey, is stepping off the platform, on 1st January 2026, having helped transform The Ticket Office into one of Ilkley’s favourite destinations.
Chris has been an integral part of The Ticket Office, overseeing a strong, consistent team of dedicated staff, whilst driving the business forward through innovative events and functions at the venue. Throughout his time, Chris has also driven strong community links, notably partnering with Ilkley Food Bank. This December marks the third year that The Ticket Office will join forces for their annual Charity Food Drive, taking place on Saturday 6th December 10-12pm.
Chris said:
“I’m sad to be leaving The Ticket Office and its incredible team and loyal customers who’ve made my time here so enjoyable. My next chapter will start with a well-deserved holiday! I wish Matt all the best – I’ve no doubt he’ll take The Ticket Office to the next level. I’ll look forward to seeing what the future holds from the other side of the bar!”
Ticket Office Owner Adam Lewis said:
“I want to sincerely thank Chris, for his dedication, hard work and contributions over the years, he’s played a vital role in shaping who The Ticket Office is today, and we all wish him every success in the future.”
Stepping aboard from 1st January 2026 as the new General Manager, will be Matt Broadley. Matt is a talented local chef with more than 30 years’ experience in the kitchen, including running his own award-winning restaurant in the centre of Ilkley. Together, with the team, he will bring The Ticket Office into a bold new era — introducing food, including small plates, themed evenings, and a relaxed dining experience designed to complement the venue’s signature cocktails and premium drinks
Matt Broadley said:
“When Adam approached me, it just felt right. The Ticket Office already has such a strong reputation, and introducing food will add another exciting dimension to the experience. Guests can expect classy, modern dishes alongside well-loved favourites — all packed with flavour and style. We’ll be running teaser taster sessions throughout January and February ahead of our official food launch in March 2026.”
Chris will continue to lead The Ticket Office to the end of the year, ensuring guests enjoy the same exceptional service and festive atmosphere the venue is known for. During this time, he’ll be working closely with Matt to ensure a smooth handover before the new era officially begins in January.
From there, guests can look forward to fresh new menus, taster events, and exclusive sampling sessions as The Ticket Office embarks on its next exciting chapter under Matt Broadley’s leadership. Keep your eyes peeled for announcements — and be among the first to experience the return of food when it officially launches in March 2026
The Ticket Office is open Monday to Thursday from 4pm to 11pm, Friday and Saturday from 12 Noon to 1am and Sunday from 12 Noon to 9pm. For more information, function enquiry email vikki@twistedbars.co.uk or to make a booking call 01943 674455 or visit www.ticketofficebar.co.uk
