This summer, Ilkley Town Council has again agreed to fund play in the park sessions for Ilkley residents and visitors.
The play opportunity scheme which is free of charge is held on a weekly basis and is organised by Bradford Council’s Community Play and Activities Development Service and run by experienced and qualified staff.
A spokesperson for Ilkley Town Council said:
"There are a wide range of different activities provided, including bouncy castles – one for under 5 years and one for older children. Swing ball, rounders, mini golf, football, giant snakes and ladders, connect four and space hoppers plus many more activities.
"So, if you want to have fun with the kids this summer, take them along to the Play in the Park sessions, maybe take a picnic and join in the fun."
This year the Play in the Park will be held from Monday 22 July through to Wednesday 28 August in the Riverside park in Ilkley between 11am and 3pm on the following dates:
- Monday 22nd July
- Monday 29th July
- Monday 5th August
- Monday 12th August
- Monday 19th August
- Wednesday 28th August
A mobile Changing Places facility will be provided at the events on the 29th July and the 28th August.
The council spokesperson added:
“We hope lots of families can go along to these play sessions and are able to enjoy the games and activities that are provided – it’s a great opportunity for Ilkley families to have fun with their kids and enjoy the different activities together.”
