The very first 25 hour Clarke Foley Danceathon is set to take place on 26th-27th October bringing the community together for an exciting day of dancing, fun, and giving back.
Hosted at the Clarke Foley Community Hub on Cunliffe Road, this debut event is raising funds to continue the good work of the hub and it needs your support!
Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just love to groove, the Clarke Foley Danceathon is designed for everyone to enjoy, all while contributing to a great cause. This first-time event promises to be a fantastic day filled with music, dancing, and community spirit. Local dance groups, studios, and individuals are invited to take part in this celebration of movement and fundraising.
A spokesperson for the Clarke Foley explains why it needs your help:
“As we launch our very first Danceathon, we're calling on the incredible talent in our community to help make this event a success. We’re reaching out to local dance groups to participate, perform, and support the cause. Whether you want to show off your skills, lead a mini dance workshop, or just join in for the fun, your involvement will make a huge impact.
“The day will be filled with diverse dance styles, from salsa and hip-hop to ballroom and freestyle, every hour is a different genre. Share your skills with participants and teach a new style or routine. Please encourage your supporters to donate and join the fun!”
The event starts on Saturday 26th October at 2pm, until Sunday 27th October at 2pm, 25 hours as the clocks change that weekend.
