Get ready to move, Ilkley! The Clarke Foley Danceathon is set to bring our community together for a day of fun, dancing, and fundraising, and you are needed to be part of it!
Happening from 2pm on the 26th October until 2pm on the 27th October at the Clarke Foley Community Hub, this exciting event offers free dance sessions throughout the day, welcoming everyone to come along, dance, and support a great cause.
Whether you’re a dance enthusiast or just want to try something new, there’s something for everyone. From ballroom to hip-hop, fitness classes to freestyle, we’re offering a range of dance styles and activities - all designed to keep the energy alive throughout the day and night.
Manager Joe Short said:
"We’re proud to announce that Your Ilkley Radio is supporting the event to help spread the word, and even host an hours slot.
"We’re aiming to keep the baton of energy moving throughout the entire event and are thrilled to have the backing of local dance classes and exercise providers, we’re hoping to see people dancing non-stop, all while raising funds for the Hub."
How It Works:
Come Dance: Drop into any of the free sessions offered throughout the day. Whether you can spare 10 minutes or plan to stay for hours, your participation helps keep the energy flowing.
Donate: Every participant is encouraged to make a donation—large or small—supporting Clarke Foley Community Hub.
Keep the Baton Going: Our goal is to keep someone dancing for the entire duration of the Danceathon. Bring friends, family, or even join solo—let’s keep the movement going!
Event Highlights: Learn to Dance in a Weekend with Ceroc Dance, Inspirations Dance School, Cheerleading & Taylor Swift Dance Party, DJ’s. Your Ilkley Radio, Disco, Northern Soul. Ilkley Yoga Centre and lots more.
Please visit www.clarkefoley.org.uk for the complete schedule of dance styles, performances, and workshops, and for further information.
Joe added:
"With lots of local talent on board, the Clark Foley Danceathon promises to be a vibrant day of community spirit. Whether you’re dancing or donating, every moment contributes to our cause and brings us closer together.
"Join us for this fantastic event and help us keep the energy alive from start to finish!"
