On the 1st of December at 9am the holiday season is about to get a lot more festive—and active! The team at the Clarke Foley Community Hub invite supporters locally to join in a fun and relaxed 5K run, jog, or walk, known as the 5K Elf Shuffle.
This family-friendly event is designed to bring everyone together for a great cause while getting into the Christmas spirit. Participants will run, walk (or shuffle) from the Clarke Foley Community Hub on Cunliffe Road and back in a casual, non-competitive 5K route. It’s all about having fun, staying active, and supporting a vital local charity.
“After the challenges of the past few years, this is the perfect opportunity to come together, get moving, and support the Clarke Foley while enjoying the festive season with family, friends, and fellow community members,”
said Joe Short Manager for the Hub.
“The 5K Elf Shuffle is meant to be a fun and inclusive event, whether you’re running, walking, or simply strolling with a festive attitude.”
To participate, simply email marketing@clarkefoley.co.uk to register your spot. A contribution of £10 covers your entry.
After completing the 5K, runners and walkers can relax with warm refreshments, including mince pies and tea, and enjoy the seasonal atmosphere.
Anna Clewlow Marketing Coordinator at Clarke Foley added:
“We want this to be an event where people can let loose, have fun, and feel good about supporting a cause that directly benefits our community.
“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone in their Santa hats, ready to shuffle for a cause!”
