Climate Action Ilkley (CAI) is holding an Open Day on Saturday 16 November 2024 with information about heat pumps, solar panels and electric vehicle charging.
All three play an important role in helping us reduce our energy usage, carbon dioxide emissions and save money.
Over 1.3 million houses in the UK have installed solar panels, over the last decade their costs have reduced significantly and their performance continues to improve.
The government has set a target of 600,000 heat pumps to be installed in our homes every year and provides a grant of £7,500. Also the costs to supply and install solar panels and heat pumps are currently VAT zero rated.
Between 10am and 12 noon you can visit five CAI members' houses in Ilkley and Burley to see their heat pumps, solar panels and electric vehicle chargers in action and ask questions.
