The Northern Potters Association has announced its upcoming Pottery Camp on 12th October will be held at the Kirklands Community Centre in Menston.
The event promises to be an inspiring day filled with creativity and learning, with all attendees invited to participate in the Joan Hardie Award competition.
Nadine Blakemore, Chair of the NPA said:
“We are honoured to have renowned potters Linda Bloomfield and Emily Stubbs among our guest speakers, sharing their expertise and insights.
“The camp will feature a variety of workshops, including raku firing, throwing techniques, surface decoration, and hand-building, catering to all skill levels.
“Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with fellow potters, expand your skills, and enjoy a day dedicated to the art of pottery."
Light refreshments will be available, participants are asked to bring their own packed lunches. There is a local supermarket and deli nearby, for those who would rather pick something up on the day.
Nadine added:
“This year’s Joan Hardie Award competition theme is ‘Light and Shade’ and we look forward to seeing your entries on 12th October. In addition, we will host a Potters’ Choice Award and attendees will be invited to vote for their favourite entry.
“Don’t forget to bring one of your own handmade mugs for our ‘Mug Swap’. There is also an opportunity for a materials & equipment swap.”
