Ilkley Civic Society has announced details of two upcoming events in October.
The first, Ilkley's New Wetlands, will see Nathan Lawson from Yorkshire Water provide details of the proposed wetland nature reserve on the north side of the River Wharfe along Denton Road between Nell Bank and Carters Lane.
Nathan will also provide advice to residents on how they can reduce flooding and run off to surface water, as well as reducing pollution to water courses.
In addition, further information will be provided following the presentation to the Cleaning Up our Rivers conference on Sunday 22nd September.
Ilkley's New Wetlands is at Church House on Church Street on Thursday 24th October at 7.30pm. It is a free meeting, no booking required.
The second is another talk in the popular Ilkley Local History Hub on Saturday 26th October at 3pm.
This will cover East Holmes and the New Bridge with an illustrated presentation and discussion.
Held on Zoom, anyone wishing to register for the link is asked to email localhistory@civicsociety.ilkley.org
