Local schools, including Ilkley Grammar School, have contacted parents warning of a fraudulent ParentPay app.
In an email to parents, Ilkley Grammar School says it had been made aware of a fraudulent app that is being circulated in relation to its external partner - ParentPay.
The ‘ParentPay AI Tools’ in the Apple App Store mimics ParentPay, but should not be installed and used.
The school says:
"ParentPay have made it known to us that they do not currently have an app in order to manage accounts. The fraudulent app is currently circulating within the Apple app store."
ParentPay does not have an app available for download from any app stores, and the company says they have taken swift action reporting the fraudulent app and are working closely with Apple to have this removed.
Parents and Carers should continue to us the website to manage accounts: www.parentpay.com
