Ilkley Vintage Fair returns to Ilkley Playhouse on Saturday 19th April with shoppers able to browse everything from funk records to G Plan drawers, 70s leather jackets to Hornsea pottery.
The 18th fair promises a wide range of vintage clothing for women and men, homeware, vinyl, kitchenware, furniture, toys and many more retro items for sale, ranging from the 1920s to the 1980s.

The fair regularly attracts many of the most sought-after vintage traders from across the north of England, setting up their stalls across the theatre, ready to transport customers on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Interlude Tea Room from Shipley will provide savoury and sweet food and hot and cold drinks throughout the day to keep shoppers’ energy levels up between bursts of browsing classic items from across the decades.
Organiser Jill Coulson of Burley-in-Wharfedale business Alfie Robot Retro says:
“Buying vintage is a huge step towards being more sustainable. So much is made nowadays to be thrown away and that’s so wasteful and damaging to the planet. Vintage items were built to last, and you can give them a new lease of life, whether it’s a dress, a teapot, a record or anything else!”
Among the traders appearing at the Ilkley Playhouse Vintage Fair this month is Ilkley’s Brewer at Number 9. Sisters Maria Shooter and Kate McTigue run their shop on Brewery Street and will also host a stall at the fair said:
“We love all things beautiful, functional and decorative for your home. We are not limited to a favourite decade or even a century and collect unusual items wherever we can find them. We have Edwardian plates, Victorian glass, Art Deco vases and tea sets, mid-century pottery and retro table ware. We’re keen to join (and meet!) other vintage aficionados at the Ilkley Vintage Fair later in the month.”

Ilkley Vintage Fair takes place at Ilkley Playhouse on Weston Road on Saturday 19th April. Doors are open from 10am until 4pm and entry is £1 per person, under 16s are free.
