Ashiana Takeaway is celebrating another culinary triumph after being named Takeaway of the Year at the prestigious Yorkshire and North East Curry Awards 2025, held in Bradford.
The annual awards honour the passion, creativity, and excellence of the region’s curry establishments, spotlighting the “rich tapestry of flavours that the curry industry brings to the English culinary landscape.”
Ashiana Takeaway, located on Wells Road in Ilkley, opened its doors in May 2023 and has quickly become a local favourite for its authentic and contemporary Bangladeshi cuisine.
Owned and managed by Forhad Miah, the takeaway has earned a reputation for quality, flavour, and fantastic customer service, Forhad said:
“We are absolutely blown away to have won Takeaway of the Year and to bring this coveted trophy back to Ilkley. We were facing fierce competition throughout the region, especially in Bradford, and we’re immensely proud to have won.”
Mr Miah credited his parents for inspiring his culinary journey nearly 30 years ago and praised his dedicated team for their commitment to excellence, their passion and for ensuring that every dish that goes out the door is cooked to perfection.
He also pays tribute to his customers saying:
“Lastly and most importantly I would like to thank the people of Ilkley who have become the heart and soul of our business. We have made some amazing friends over the last two years who have been loyal customers since we opened, without whom this wouldn’t have been possible.”
Irfan Younis, Founder of Oceanic Awards said:
“We applaud the exceptional efforts of those who have made significant contributions to the curry sector and continue to elevate the nation’s love for curry. We would like to congratulate all our winners on their incredible accomplishments.”
