Ilkley Good Neighbours have announced their move into Wright Place, the newly named community space within Clarke Foley Community Hub.
The move marks the start of a six month pilot partnership designed to strengthen community connections and provide a welcoming space for local residents.
Lucy Steer, Good Neighbours Manager said:
“Wright Place gives us a fantastic platform to expand our work and connect with more residents. We’re excited to see what we can achieve together during this pilot.”
Wright Place will serve as a base for Ilkley Good Neighbours’ activities, offering opportunities for volunteering, social interaction, and community support. The pilot will test new ways of working collaboratively with Clarke Foley, ensuring that services are accessible, inclusive, and responsive to local needs.

Clarke Foley Community Hub Chair, Rob Whitemore said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Ilkley Good Neighbours into Wright Place. This partnership will bring new energy and opportunities to the hub, making it an even more vibrant space for our community.”
A key part of the launch will be the introduction of new hub manager Rosie Reay who will lead the Wright Place initiative. With a strong background in community centre management, Rosie will oversee the pilot, build partnerships, and ensure residents feel the benefits of this new collaboration.
A public launch event will take place during February, bringing together councillors, partners, volunteers, and residents. The event will showcase Wright Place, introduce the new manager, and highlight opportunities for people to get involved.
To ensure the community is aware of the changes the following will be happening:
-
Temporary posters will be displayed in Wright Place from 5th January.
-
Banners and window decals will be installed at Clarke Foley to highlight Wright Place.
-
“Chatty Tables” will be set up to encourage informal conversation and connection.
-
Updates will be shared regularly via Clarke Foley’s website, newsletters, and social media.
