The long-established Ilkley Flower Show made a triumphant return to All Saints Church on Saturday, drawing a steady stream of visitors and lively community participation for the first event since 2018.
Organisers said the show exceeded expectations despite poor weather, showcasing a wide range of high-quality floral and craft entries.

Local groups, including scouts and guides, were a highlight of the day with inventive Sparrow Box displays that captured public attention.
The event offered a strong foundation for future editions and renewed local enthusiasm for one of Ilkley’s most respected autumn traditions.

“This comeback was heartening,”
said Anne Hawkesworth, Chair of Ilkley Flower Show.
“In spite of the dreadful weather there was a constant stream of visitors, all of whom appeared inspired by the high-quality entries. The Sparrow Boxes were a huge success — the entries from the guides and scouts really wowed the visitors. Ilkley Flower Show has been a truly good springboard for its future.”
