Ilkley based folk band, The Lost Embers, have just released their first EP, ‘Wonderings’.
The Lost Embers have their roots in the Wharfe valley. Two of the band, Charlotte Hatch and Bek Olive, first met at a local baby group, “The wheels on the bus” and “Wind the bobbin up” evolved over the years into making up their own songs and singing round family firepits. Multi-instrumentalist and fellow mum, Andrea Hardaker, joined the band soon after, bringing her Scottish warmth and musical flair.
Now the friends sing and play together in cosy, homely settings. This has given their sound a soothing, yet uplifting feel. Working closely with incredible producers, Sam Lawrence & Chris Pepper, has given the songs further life.
Listeners say: ‘Their songs are like a warm hug’!
Three songs on the EP tell stories about friendship, parenting & close connections to nature. October Days, Breeze & Same Sky bring you beautiful vocal harmonies and soulful, folk-inspired instrumentals from the trio.

Wonderings can be heard on Spotify, Amazon, Tidal, TikTok and YouTube.
The Lost Embers will be playing alongside the Addingham Singers and Harrogate Harmony at a charity concert in aid of MND and The Yorkshire Air Ambulance on 22nd November at Addingham Memorial Hall. Tickets available from: www.ticketsource.co.uk/the-addingham-singers
