Hotel Chocolat has confirmed its new store in Ilkley will open this summer.
The company said sales in Yorkshire stores such as Harrogate have been so strong it was eying up other locations in the region for new stores including Ilkley and Skipton.
The new Ilkley store will open in the former Cooplands unit within the Station Plaza which already includes M&S Simply Food, Pizza Express, Alpkit, La Stazione, Caffe Nero, and Mountain Warehouse.
Chartered Surveyors BHT have assisted with the letting of the unit and said: “On behalf of a private client we’re delighted to have completed the letting of Unit 4 Station Plaza, Ilkley to Hotel Chocolat having successfully agreed a lease surrender with Cooplands the previous tenant.
“We’re delighted to have secured Hotel Chocolat as a tenant for our client and are looking forward to seeing them trading in Ilkley soon!”
Ilkley is one of 20 stores Hotel Chocolat plans to open over the next 18 months. It is also planning to launch a TikTok shop in the near future to boost its online sales, as well as an SMS messaging marketing service.
New staff have been recruited for the Ilkley store and training is underway.
It's understood the new store will open sometime in August.
