Cop-turned-BBC Radio 4 comedian Alfie Moore returns to the King's Hall Ilkley on Saturday 16 May with his stand-up tour show 'Acopalypse Now'.
"As a proud Yorkshireman I love coming to Ilkley,"
says Alfie
"I'm a big fan of savoury pastries and am getting very excited about visiting the home of Lishman's 'champion' sausage rolls!"
In his brand-new tour show 'Fair Cop' Alfie explores how the Four Horsemen of Rising Crime, Global Warming, AI and Culture Wars are galloping towards us and asks whether we're on the road to hell. And if so, can we avoid the potholes?
The audience can expect Alfie's trademark hilarious police stories from his time on the front line and an opportunity to be 'sworn in' as police officers for the duration of the show - contributing what actions they'd take. Along with his thought-provoking insights into topical policing issues, in this show Alfie shares his views on climate change, potential world-ending disasters and how to deal with overbearing bullies.
Alfie added:
"These are tough and scary times and what better way to cut through the doom and gloom than an evening of laughter. It won't change the state of the world but may help you feel a bit better about it."
Join Alfie as he's saddles up to see off those bullies on their pesky ponies. Doomsday is no laughing matter, but this show certainly is.
Tickets for the show on 16 May at 7:30pm are available from the Bradford Theatres website.
