A new monthly film night launches next month at The Clarke Foley Community Hub in Ilkley.
There will be a free soft launch of ‘Foley Films’ for the Friends of Clarke Foley Community Hub on 9th April with the film, The Holdovers, starring 2024 Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph in her best supporting actress role.
Being held on the last Wednesday of each month, the first ‘open to all’ Foley Films will be on 30th April with a screening of Small Things Like These, starring Emily Watson and Cillian Murphy. Doors will open at 6.30pm for a 7.15pm start.
Tickets for each film will be £5.00 per person, bookable on Eventbrite and available on the door, subject to availability. Bar and refreshments will be available.
A spokesperson for the Hub said:
“The brainchild of local film producer Nick Ryle, Foley Films, named for the founder of The Hub. but also a tie in to the film & TV industry sound designers who put the audio effects on our screens.
“Nick approached The Hub as a volunteer offering his experience and expertise to set up a monthly club featuring modern classics at an easy on the pocket price.
“The staff and board at Clarke Foley Community hub are grateful for the work Nick has put in to get Foley Films up and running, and for his continued commitment to the season.”
