Esscroft Private Nursery in Burley-in-Wharfedale has, for the third year running, won the ‘Nursery of the Year’ award at the Yorkshire Prestige Awards.
The nursery joined other category winners for a champagne reception and celebratory photos at Hazlewood Castle on 10th December 2024.
The Yorkshire Prestige Awards 2024/25 celebrates localised businesses that have thrived in their highly competitive community and have proven success over the year. Winners are chosen on their business growth methods, customer experience and approach to new ideas within their industry.
Esscroft Private Nursery boasts over 20-years of service and has grown significantly since its opening in 1993, by the original founder, the late Anna Kouvatsos. The Nursery is now owned by her daughter Maria, who employs over 30-staff across its five classrooms and newly implemented forest school.
Nursery Manager, Ellen Ogley shared:
“Our Nursery really is an exceptional offering to our local families. I have always aspired to continue with Anna’s ethos of offering high quality, home-from-home care for our children and truly believe, this has been fundamental to our huge success, year on year. I hope she would be extremely proud of what we have achieved”.
