Burnsall Park has shared they would close the park.
On a Facebook post this morning (6th July 2026), Burnsall Park announced they would officially close the park.
A spokesperson said:
"We are now permanently closed.
"Please do not travel here as you can not gain access".
Burnsall Park have not shared the official reason for the closure.
Recently, on 26th June, three Craven College students rescued a dad and his young son from the beauty spot on the River Wharfe.
Previous to that, a 13 year old, Palwasha Akbar, from Bradford, was playing in the River Wharfe at Burnsall in the Yorkshire Dales on 31st May, the day before her 14th birthday.
Palwasha passed away from drowning in the river and both Yorkshire Ambulance Service and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were called to the scene in Burnsall.
