Box Tree included in SquareMeal's UK top 100 restaurants

Wednesday, 22 January 2025 at 17:40

The Box Tree has announced its inclusion in SquareMeal's UK’s Top 100 Restaurants for 2025, securing the #89 spot on this prestigious list.

SquareMeal’s annual ranking celebrates the finest culinary establishments across the UK, and The Box Tree say it is honoured to be recognised for its excellence in hospitality and gastronomy.

Chris Stapleton, General Manager of The Box Tree, shared his excitement:

"This ranking is a fantastic achievement and reflects the unwavering dedication of our team. We’re incredibly grateful to our guests and the community for their continued support."

Brayden Davies, Head Chef at The Box Tree, added:

"It’s an honour to be named among the UK’s top restaurants. This recognition inspires us to continue innovating, showcasing Yorkshire’s exceptional produce, and creating memorable dining experiences.

“The Box Tree remains committed to delivering world-class cuisine and service. Guests are invited to experience the passion and creativity that earned this recognition.”

SquareMeal Managing Editor Ellie Donnell says:

"Narrowing down the UK dining scene to just 100 outstanding restaurants always proves to be a formidable challenge - it’s a job that takes many months of meticulous planning, excruciating deliberation, and collaboration with our readers.

"We take great care in ensuring that this list represents the cream of the crop, and that requires the input of SquareMeal readers.

Our Top 100 Restaurants lists combine in-house critic experiences with thousands of public votes from diners up and down the country."

The Box Tree is set within two 18th-century cottages, decked out in antique finery and has stood among Yorkshire’s best restaurants since 1962.
