Ambassadors unveiled as supporters of Clarke Foley Community Hub

The Clarke Foley Community Hub in Ilkley has announced the introduction of two new ambassadors to represent and support the charity.

The hub's first ambassadors are Helen Rhodes and Anne Hawkesworth.

Upon joining, Helen said:

“The Clarke Foley Community Hub is such an important facility for Ilkley, not only providing a warm welcome and friendly face to many but also providing a great range of function rooms and a wide array of events and activities for all ages. I am delighted to have been invited to be an ambassador and am looking forward to supporting the directors, staff, and volunteers.”

Anne also expressed her joy at joining by saying:

“I am thrilled to have been invited by Clarke Foley to be one of the first Ambassadors for the Hub. It is truly an honour, and I can’t wait to get started. My main objective is to trumpet that all ages are welcome to come here and enjoy the facilities.”

Business Manager Joe Short said:

“We are absolutely delighted to have both Helen and Anne on board as ambassadors for the charity. They bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and expertise that will be invaluable to us as we look to promote and protect this wonderful community facility.”

Stuart Hyde, Chair of the board of directors, explains why the charity has introduced this new role:

"Ambassadors will have a flexible and dynamic role within Clarke Foley. Rather than being assigned rigid, predefined duties, they will serve as advisors and guides, offering their expertise in specific areas critical to the organisation’s development.

"Their contributions may include providing strategic insights, participating in specific initiatives, or offering targeted support for projects where their expertise is most needed.”

This adaptability is intended to encourage a diverse range of professionals to engage with the charity, bringing unique perspectives and skills without the constraints of traditional roles. By enabling Ambassadors to focus on their strengths, Clarke Foley aims to foster innovation, expand its outreach, and achieve its long-term goals more effectively.

Stuart finishes by saying:

“The introduction of Ambassadors marks a significant step in Clarke Foley’s ongoing journey to cultivate a thriving, collaborative, and forward-thinking organisation. By tapping into the knowledge and experience of these individuals, Clarke Foley aims to strengthen its foundation and amplify its impact.

"This new role not only reflects a commitment to growth but also highlights the organisation’s dedication to inclusivity and adaptability. Through the collective efforts of Trustees and Ambassadors, Clarke Foley will continue to serve its community with excellence, ensuring its legacy for generations to come.”
